A pregnant woman with an apple

First of all, along with the tests, we recommend that you also visit the dentist to be sure that during the 9 months you will not have any problems and also during the breastfeeding period. Unfortunately, very often pregnant women come to the office for dental emergencies.

Secondly, during pregnancy, hormonal changes can also bring changes to the oral cavity. We often encounter pregnancy gingivitis, which is manifested by the redness and increase in size of the gums as well as sensitivity. These can be prevented by rigorous hygiene: brushing correctly 2 times a day, changing the brush every 2-3 months (or the end of the brush in the case of electric ones), dental floss and mouthwash, as well as periodic scaling, which should not under no circumstances avoided during pregnancy. If you notice any changes, contact your dentist. A simple cleaning can solve your problem!
