How often should I change my toothbrush?
The toothbrush must be changed every 3 months, otherwise it becomes inefficient and full of bacteria. Most toothbrushes have colored bristle tips and when you notice that they are discolored, it is time to be replace your toothbrush. It is also recommended to change your toothbrush after every hygiene session (scaling).
If your brush looks like the one in the picture after less than 3 months, this means you are brushing is not correct! Very frequent or aggressive brushing is harmful. Get in touch with your dentist and find out what is the correct brushing technique to avoid certain dental problems like enamel damage, caries or periodontal issues.
